We suggest doing the daily face ritual and drink LOTS of water.

 

Your skin is made up for 64 percent water and water helps with hydration of skin.Without adequate water intake, skin appears duller, and wrinkles and pores more prominent. There are varieties of structures in the skin that support collagen but require water to work effectively.

 

So how much water?

The magic number claimed by some research is 9-10 cups of water each day.

 

Aim for one cup at a time, and spread them out throughout the day as opposed to gulping them all down all at once. You need to know that your body can only absorb so much water each hour and frequent toilet breaks might not be the best scenario in the office. So spread them out!

 

Water may also fend off breakouts by decreasing the concentration of oil on your skin. You need to know that it is critical to have a stable balance of water to oil on the surface of your face. When your skin is hydrated, plump, and elastic, it’s less likely to crack and let in external particles that can cause irritations and blemishes.

 

Hydrating your skin from the inside out isn’t an excuse to skip moisturizers, it does help but only so much. Moisturizing your skin both internally and externally is a critical combination for healthy, beautiful and ageless skin.
